Description

Project required to implement the deficiencies identified as part of the Accessibility Audit conducted (March 2019) in order to meet the requirement of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and CSA B651-18 Accessible Design for the Built-environment. Major deficiency repairs to fully meet Barrier-Free requirements with the existing. Previous Audit attached for reference purposes only.
1. All doors in barrier free path of travel that do not comply with the required clear width will be replaced with a wider door and frame. Door without any vision panels will be replaced as well with a new panel meeting the OBC requirements. 2. Additional wheel chair seating that meet spatial OBC requirements will be added to the accessible seating area in the auditorium. Five (5) regular seats will be replaced with adaptable seats to meet the OBC requirements.
