GOC1831287-CS - TERRACOTTA AND FIRE SEPARATION STUDY

VScope of Work/Overview:
Investigate the life safety and fire resistance characteristics of the terracotta tile block partitions located on typical floor cores (all floors), inside of exterior walls and in basement partitions. The original drawings of the building do not specify if the terracotta block walls are reinforced. Therefore, their condition is rated as "poor" due to the fire resistance, seismic and life safety concerns related to the terracotta tile block partitions. Using plans provided by BGIS the consultant is responsible for identifying where the terracotta walls are in the building. It is the consultant's responsibility to determine how to investigate seismic properties and how to confirm if the walls are properly reinforced. The winning prime consultant is expected to carry Seismic or Structural subs as required
